Great Knox Coupon

Just wanted to give you a heads up. Thanks to Money Saving Mom for posting this deal.

There are 2 different places that you can go to print coupons for atleast $4 off any Knox Product. They are here and here.

Wal-Mart carries the Knox gelatine for under $1.50. This is perfect for making your own jello at home with fruit juice, or leftover juice from canned fruit. This is also the exact product I used when I made homemade marshmallows around Christmas.

How much can one person fit into a day?

We've been busy as I'll get out today. It's been fun, but a little more stressful than I like!

The big kids didn't have school today due to Parent Teacher Confrences...so I thought we should do something fun. I should have just left it at that...but I hadn't done my bargain shopping for the week, and I was in dire need of my fix! :)

So, I finalize my deal (I decided to limit it to Walgreens ONLY..instead of my typical 4 store grocery shopping)...then we headed off to the "big" town.

I go to Walgreen's and clear up something the overcharged me for last week. (I forgot to post this deal last week..oops!). So...here is the pic of the goods...with the final OOP after they fixed overcharging me.

After all my shopping...which was quite the feat, we made our way to the Pumpkin Patch. After we went there, we decided we needed to make a special "fall-ish" dinner this evening so we stopped off at Wal-Mart. Bought some goods, and came home to start dinner. Realized when we came home, WalMart didn't give us some of our items (thankfully nothing we needed for dinner).

We enjoyed a good meal, kids are wired from all the sugar, and I sit here EXHAUSTED!!!!! But stoked because even though I had a high OOP today at Walgreens..I still came out on top! :)

Baking Coupons

Just in time for all the Christmas baking! I see a lot of baking in my future...especially since we are trying to cut our "normal" Christmas budget!



Nestle has put out some coupons for chocolate chips, canned pumpkin, cookie dough and evaporated milk...go here to print yours. If you haven't already, you will have to register to get access to print the coupons...but it is free, and painless!



Here is a coupon for $1 off 5lb bag of Whole Wheat Flour. Even considering my bulk food store, Wal-Mart is cheaper on Whole Wheat Flour.

Grocery Trip

I made a quick dash into town today to refill a prescription and I figured since I was already there I might as well make the most of it. So, I stopped by the local grocery store to pick up some more of their ads. I got one in the mail, and quickly noticed that it had 8 kraft free wyb coupons! Free coupons for free items...I'm definitely game! I refrained from grabbing the entire stack of ads, and just grabbed 2.

Today must have been my lucky day. Since I live in a very rural area, we do not have any "larger" chain grocery stores. They are chains, per se, but only in like the southern-ish part of my state, not a national chain. Well, I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not, but I very rarely find tearpads or peelies in our stores. Not today!

The only bad part was, every employee known to man was around, and I didn't feel comfortable taking more than like 3 of a coupon off of a tearpad. Oh well, better than none!

Also, we never have "manager specials" or awesome closeouts that I always hear people talking about. Because of this I have always wondered what they did with their old stuff. Today, I just so happened to find a cooler full of "Closeout For Quick Sale" items. My heart began to race, I was so excited.

I was quickly deflated. $2.99 for Kraft Shredded Cheese that expires today, IS NOT a closeout. Give me a break, sale prices are better than that! I came this close to asking them if they could just drop a nine and take .29!! I decided against it...afterall I live in this town!! :)

But, I still scored loads of coupons (atleast to me!) for free...and still was able to get some pretty good deals.
