Top Ten Posts of 2009

I really enjoy looking back over my posts to see which ones ended up being the top posts. Oftentimes, I am surprised by the results.

Here are the Top Ten Posts for 2009:

1. The Lentil Brown Rice Casserole continues to come in on top. This continues to surprise me. We love this dish, and it continues to be the most frugal dinner dish I've made, not including our free venison.

2. One of my favorite posts, was the first post I did in the Home Management Binder Series.

3. Managing Your Expenses was another post I really enjoyed writing--I could talk finances all day long. :)

4. The hardest post to begin would definitely be this one. The Beginning--which was the beginning of Nicholas' Story.

5. A not so common way of using the bounty of your jalapeno harvest: Jalapeno Jelly

6. This one really shocked me; Menu Plan week of 3/15-3/21 (After looking back, this is when $5 Dinners hosted Menu Plan Monday, and I was #1!)

8. Saving Money On Clothes, where I highlighted some thrift store finds.

9. The second installment of Nicholas's Story.

10. A Whole Wheat Tortilla Tutorial comes in 10th.

13 Top Posts

In recognition of my 1 year Blogiversary, I thought it would be kind of fun to take a look over my 13 most popular posts. I used Google Analytics to help me figure this out, but I've only been using it since the middle of January--so I'm not sure how completly accurate this is. But, it was fun looking over it anyway!

Here they are:
  1. Our Journey
  2. Lentil Brown Rice Casserole (I get lots of searches for this post)
  3. Menu Plan Monday Week of 3/15-3/21
  4. Finding Freedom Friday: 2009 Goal Update
  5. About Me
  6. Playing Walgreens
  7. Cutting Grocery Costs
  8. New Pizza Favorites: Buffalo Chicken and BBQ Chicken
  9. Homemade Tortillas
  10. Kitchen Organization Tip
  11. Our Journey: Part 2
  12. Financial Update
  13. Managing Your Expenses

I must say that my favorite posts are Choice to Be Frugal, I've Got a Secret, and Why Do I Choose To Stay at Home. All three of these posts I put off writing for months until just recently, and I loved the responses that I got.

I never would of thought this, but the post with the most comments (behind the post that I wrote for UBP '09--which got a whopping 143 comments!) was Quick Tip: Mopping Floors, which ended up with 34 comments. Didn't see that coming!

What is your favorite post over the last year?
