Just in case you haven't noticed it yet....my little ticker on the side that is tracking my coupon savings...is beyond $500!!
Amazing!
When I first started couponing in early June, I set my own personal goal for the rest of 2008 to save $500. At the time, I thought that was plenty. Afterall that was about $70/mo.
Little did I know just how much I could save!
I just updated it this morning, and that doesn't include my rebates from Walgreen's that just got put on my card. This is right over $50!!
A-freaking-MAZING!
We're looking at over $600 in just over 3 months, folks! I have been spending OOP just about the same as I always did the last few months so that I could build up my rebates, RR, and my stockpile. I have, as stated in this post, decided that my grocery budget MUST go down. There is no reason, especially with all of this savings, to be spending all that money.
I have added a new section over there -------> to track my monthly grocery spending, along with a tally of my RR and rebates. This way I can keep better track of where I am at.
Hopefully I will also remember to put the percentage saved after my trips...this is always nice to see.
You know you are addicted to couponing when it keeps you awake at night thinking up new scenarios and which one will score the better deal!
Honestly though, I cannot even begin to fathom paying full price for most things.
And, I woudn't change a thing 'bout it!

i just started reading your blog and i love it. i was just wondering what oop, rr, mq, and some of the other abreviations mean.
WOW! I started reading your blog, and I was truly inspired. I've already printed out my coupons for this week, and am hoping to keep my grocery bill under $70 tonight. I am trying to go once a week now whereas before I was going once a month with several wasteful trips in between! I'm so excited to have found your blog!
Danielle,
To answer your questions:
OOP= out of pocket (money spent, not including gc (gift cards)
RR=Register Rewards (these are from Walgreen's and print after you have paid..good on next trip)
MQ= manufacturer's coupon
ESQ=Easy Saver Coupon found in ES (Easy Saver) catalog in the front of Walgreen's. Please let me know if that helps, or if there are more. I *love* talking coupons! :)
I'm glad that you all are finding the blog helpful, let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
Hayley,
You will have to let me know how your shopping trip went!! I'm so excited for you!:)
