Because this family is Credit Card Debt Free!! I just made my last payment, and it feels GREAT! This actually comes two weeks earlier than expected. My husband has had an incredible amount of overtime the last few weeks, so I threw at my credit card and told it to GET LOST!
Now, time to attack the truck with gazelle intensity!

Debt Reduction
When we began getting serious about debt reduction in Sept. 07 (which is when we started Dave Ramsey's FPU) we had approximately $36,000 in debt (Vehicles & credit cards). This is our journey of being free from the chains of lenders!
As of January 1, 2009, our TOTAL consumer debt is $19248.10. One of our goals for 2009 is to pay off $17500. Lets see if we can make it!
Total Thrown at Debt since 1/1/09: $9455.22 or 54% of our goal.

Oh, what great news!! Way to go! I cannot wait until the day comes where I can say we are CREDIT CARD DEBT FREE! Oh how exciting!! Congrats!
WOOO HOOO! I am so with you, girl. My husband and I made the decision to consolidate our credit cards when our son was two and even though it cut out the interest on the cards we were still weary of the 3 year time limit we were told it would take. (all of this was PRE-dave ramsey, by the way) Anyway, I told my husband to think of it in terms of being credit card debt free by the time our son was 5 years old. Boy did it work for us - the time flew by and we paid off all credit card balances the day before his 5th Birthday! It was one of the best financial feelings ever!
