Using up candles

I don't know about you, but I have a major infatuation with candles. I love them, and they are all over my home. The only problem? I can almost never get the candle to burn all the way down to the bottom. Even if I follow all the rules to candle burning, it just doesn't happen.

My solution? This beauty:

It is stylish, fits right where the candle was, and it warms up the candle, melting the wax and letting off the scent. It works wonderfully. Almost better than burning the candle itself.

Another positive in using a candle warmer, no open flame for little fingers.

You can put small, or big candles in these warmers as well as any pieces of leftover wax that you have. Just make sure that you have a glass candle holder in place, and throw any small pieces of wax you have in there. It will warm up and melt all the wax together, therefore using it all up instead of wasting it!

If you are feeling really creative, you can pour the melted wax into molds and make your own tartlets. Be sure to be careful, and follow the safety precautions.

When the candle has lost of all its scent, you can dispose of the melted wax and easily reuse the glass jar for any other projects you have going on.

They work for me!

Oh my gosh! I just posted my post on Works For Me Wednesday and we had the same idea - LOL! Our crocks are even similar .... you know what they say, great minds think alike! I have my mind on candles as it's still winter and I love a yummy-smelling home!

that's a cute idea....one of my "splurges" is Party Lite candles...I will catch some of the candle collections when they go on sale, and I love their barrel candles...and they actually burn all the way down.

What a creative and beautiful idea! I'll have to go look for one. I have so many almost gone candles around here and I love their scents too much to throw them away when there's still scent left! Thanks for the tip.

When I can't get the bottom of the candle "burned" I stick the candle and holder in the freezer. When it freezes, it pops right out of the holder and then you have leftover candle wax and can make your own. =)

I use the coffee maker. Just take off the pot and make sure there is no water in the tank - Voila! Oh, just make sure there is no paper on the bottom or the candle holder.

I love Circle E candles - so I use every last drop. Great post!

I love candles, too, but don't burn them often because of the danger factor. This would be helpful...

Funny that I read this on your site...I have a candle fetish too! In fact, my DH always teases me about how are cabinet is full of candles. Since beginning my debt free journey 2/13/09, I have vowed to use up most if not all candles before even thinking about purchasing another one...if budget allows, of course! My favorite for years has been GOLDEN CANYON CANDLES! One candle will smell your entire home! Good Luck with the candle burning!
