Thankfully we were able to find a gardener.
The frugal side of me didn't want to pay a whole lot, but I still wanted a quality worker.
We were blessed to find a young man willing to be paid in chocolate chip cookies!

Here he is giddy as can be in the greenhouse early in the morning. Isn't he a cutie?! He loves to help me water all the little seedlings, and tote them from here to there. He is very cautious as to not touch any of the plants because "that will kill 'em".
It just makes me melt to hear him talk about them, and for him to ask all sorts of questions. I love that he is learning, and that we can spend this time together. Even if it costs me a bunch of chocolate chip cookies!
This time is a Finer Thing and I'm going to relish in it!

oh what a cute gardener!
CUTE!!!
This is ADORABLE!!! Thanks for making me smile! Too cute...I think I should get my kiddos involved in the gardening this year too!
He is a cutie and I'm sure he really enjoys helping. I would help too if I got chocolate chip cookies.
How sweet, he is such a cutie pie. And what a great helper.
He is so sweet! Hope much fun the two of you must have bonding over the garden and seedlings! I would love to see pictures of your greenhouse.
That's one cute gardener you have there. ;) Chocolate chip cookies are a great deal too.
GREAT IDEA! It's always good to get them involved in things when they are young.
You have a very cute gardener.
Have a great weekend.
I am so excited to have found your blog! I love it! (And I'm a Phoebe too...a phiscally irresponsible Phoebe!) I am excited about getting my financial act together...you have inspired me for sure!!
Thank you!!
Mercy, that is one cute boy! My little gardener has been watching carefully over our seeds, too. Can't wait to get out and get some things planted!
I recently found your blog and enjoy it!!! I've awarded you the Sisterhood Award on my blog tonight.....come by and pick it up.
Have a great weekend!
Last year I grew tomatoes for the first time. My son loved being my helper!! This year we are growing tomatoes, blueberries and strawberries. Gardening not only saves money but it is a great learning experience for children and also a great way to spend quality time together. My son was so proud of the tomatoes that he grew last year and can't wait to grow even more this year. It just doesn't get any better than that!!
He is such a cutie! We are gardening with our little ones too - I love how they get so excited about the little things.
That definitely IS a finer thing! What a cutie he is! Isn't it fun when they get so excited to help us with "work"?:)
