
I was gone all day yesterday, between church and a fruitless furniture shopping excursion, so I wasn't able to post my menu plan.
Last week couldn't have went better--everything fell right into place and went exactly as planned. I really love it when that happens!
Breakfast:
- Smoothies. ½ bagel.
- Oatmeal. Egg Whites. Fruit.
- Granola.
- Oatmeal Pancakes w/Homemade Strawberry Syrup
Dinners:
- Sunday: Ate dinner in the city after a full day of furniture shopping.
- Monday: Vegetable soup. French Bread Baguettes. (Same Recipe--different method) Salad? ($3-ish)(8 servings=.38/ea)
- Tuesday: Cabbage Rolls. ($2) Mixed Vegetables.($1)($3)(8 servings=.38/ea)
- Wednesday: Grilled Lemon Pepper Chicken Salad.($3.50)(5 servings=.70/ea)
- Thursday: Buffalo Chicken Pizza (whole wheat crust) ($3) Salad. (.50)($3.50)(5 servings=.70/ea)
- Friday: Grilled Chicken and Asparagus Pasta. ($4)(5 servings=.80/ea)
- Saturday: Free for All.
Total Cost: $16.50 Average Price per Serving: .53/ea
Snacks:
- Granola Bars.
- Smoothies.
- Black bean brownies. (I've never made/had these before--but I've heard that they are amazing!)
- And--something Easter-ish with the kids.

I've never heard of black bean brownies, but I have had pinto bean pie, and it tasted exactly like pecan pie. Hope the brownies turn out well!!
I love black beans, and I love brownies but I have never heard of them together. You must share how they taste. Is it really a brownie?

The black bean brownies are great! I made them a while ago to try them out and even my son loved them.
