
It seems as it has been forever since I've menu planned, and I can't even begin to tell you how stoked I am to be back at it this week. Not only have I been lost when it comes to dinner, but with our weekly snacks, our bread, and my routine! Who knew one plan could be so incredibly important. I know these things, but I guess I just need to test it every once in awhile! :)
I can't even begin to tell you what has stopped me the last few weeks. Summer has been seriously crazy and it is flying by. Last week was one of the hardest weeks I've had in quite sometime and it left me so emotionally drained that on Wednesday all I did was lay on the couch. Nothing got done. Thank you so much to all of my Facebook and Twitter friends for your prayers, we continue to pray that an incident like that will not happen again and we are moving forward. Although the week was crazy, we had an incredible weekend all the while celebrating our 5th anniversary. My brother graciously offered to watch the children while we had an evening away. Originally our plan was to go to Saint Louis, but at the last minute we decided that we were wanting away from all the hustle and bustle. So we headed to a very small town in the middle of nowhere that is known for it's German heritage and wineries. We stayed at a bed and breakfast, walked the riverfront, toured a winery and walked all over the town. All the while barely encountering a soul. So peaceful, relaxing and rejuvenating!!
So, here I am. Hopefully back at my normal life. I really am looking forward to having my direction back in the day--and I am certain my family feels the same!
Breakfast:
- Baked Oatmeal with fruit
- Breakfast Pockets
- Caramel Pecan Rolls
- Oatmeal Pancakes
Dinners:
- Sunday: Leftovers
- Monday: Depends on if I am able to meetup with a dear bloggy friend!
- Tuesday: Lentil Brown Rice Casserole. Oven Roasted Carrots. Tri Color Bread Braid.
- Wednesday: Swedish Meatballs. French Bread. Broccoli.
- Thursday: Cabbage Rolls. Green Beans.
- Friday: Pizza Night!!! Canadian Bacon Pizza. Buffalo Chicken Pizza
- Saturday: Shrimp Pasta Salad w/sandwiches.
Snacks:
- HM Brownies
- Maple Oat Nut Sconces
- Cookies (not sure what kind yet!)

Uh oh. I must have missed what the "incident" was. Hope you're ok! And I hear ya about the crazy busy summer...:)
If you don't have any peanut allergies to contend with I recommend cookies with some kind of peanut butter in them.
