Finding Freedom

In the last few weeks I have been trying to piece together a series called Finding Freedom.

Many people set new goals for themselves for the upcoming new year and I have heard tons of talk this year about finances. (I, for one, am focusing heavily on finances!) I'm sure that the current state of the economy may have something to do with it, but I also hope that we, as a society, are ready to get our lives back from the lenders that have us chained up!

There are a few things that I am wanting to cover with this series.
  • A working budget.
  • Budget Notebook.
  • Rolling your snowball.
  • Grocery Shopping.
  • Meal Planning.
  • Making from Scratch vs. Store Bought.

**I'm sure that as we go along, these will change, and hopefully grow as we bounce off of each other.

This is where you come in.

I am pretty open with our financial journey, but I know that some others are not as open (and I fully respect that.). What I am wanting to know, is as we go into this, would you be willing to chart your progresses and your failures right along with me? If you do I can set up Mr. Linky, or you can leave it all in the comment section. But, I'm wanting your feedback. If there is another area financially that you want me to focus on, let me know and I will do my best to help you out and do a feature on it.

The blogging community has been such an encouragement to me throughout this process, and I want to be here to help you on your journey. I know that it can be tough and discouraging at times, but we are all in this together. With these roadblocks there are also plenty of celebrations, and I want to dance with you! We can overcome the chains and achieve freedom!

Will you join me?

If you have a suggestion for a topic, or an opinion on Mr. Linky....feel free to email me at the address on the sidebar, or drop a comment.

While I know that I am not a pro, and I make mistakes just as much as the next person, I hope that some of the pointers that I have picked up along the way will help you. Or atleast give you a direction to go in.

I'm way excited about this! We are going Gazelle this next year and trying to pay off some serious debt! I'm with you! Which ever way you want to do it is ok with me!

I am definitely excites about your series. I do need some help, seeing as my fiance and I are trying to pay off of few debts of our own. I would also like info on setting up a savings plan. Like, how much of your earned income you should set aside and what type of savings program is good to invest your money in.

I have recently started a blog in order to keep me on my grocery budget for each month- to hold me accountable and I would love to link up to yours.

I would love to figure out a budget for groceries and figuring out exactly where all my money is going! I will follow anyway you set it up.

I have started a ticker on my blog, with percentages instead of specific numbers. I plan to blog on the last day of each month charting how much we paid toward our debt and I'd be glad to let you know about it.http://taulmantimes.blogspot.com/2009/01/tiny-snowflakes-eventually-make.html

Ok, I know I am a couple of days late (to think about it), but I'm definitely in!
