Menus 2/1-2/7

**Updated to add recipe link and change price.**

Last week everything went pretty well. There was only one night, Friday, that I didn't cook. We had an ice storm, or should I say sleet storm, so I was stuck in my house with all the kids. By Friday, I was close to insane, so my husband took me out for dinner! It was so nice! And, well I switched around the Creamed Chicken and Lasagna Soup, because my oldest was dying to eat it! So this week, I'm carrying over the Creamed Chicken.

And, about the Lasagna Soup, it was okay. I think that we will just go for regular ol' Lasagna next time. The soup tasted more like a goulash to me, than lasagna.

So, here is this week:
Dinners:
  • Sunday: Chicken Wings. ($7) Onion Petals w/HM dipping sauce. (.25) (oh wow, that was healthy!) ($7.25)(6 servings=$1.21/serving)
  • Monday: Creamed Chicken and Biscuits ($2.35)(5 servings=.47/serving) $1.63 for 5 servings (.33/serving)
  • Tuesday: Beef/Brocolli Stir Fry. ($3) Rice.(.25)($3.25)(5 servings=.65/serving)
  • Wednesday: Dinner at church (Free!)
  • Thursday: Homemade Tuna Casserole. ($3.15) Peas. (.50)($3.65)(6 servings=.61/serving)
  • Friday: Tacos w/HM Tortillas. ($2) Refried Beans. ($1) Spanish Rice. ($1)($4)(5 servings=.80/serving)
  • Saturday: Salisbury Steak. ($2) Ranch Biscuits. (.50) Carrots. (Free from garden)($2.50)(5 servings=.50/serving)

Total Cost= $23 $21.78 Total Servings=32 Average price per serving= .72 cents .68 cents

I did come in a little higher than normal this week. I hope to be able to keep my numbers down next week to make up for the higher week this week.

Sounds good! I LOVE homemade tortillas... I can't believe how long it took me to try making them! And, yeah, chicken wings are perfectly healthy on Super Bowl night! ;)

Your menu sounds really good this week. I have never made homemade onion petals before. How do you make them? I love onion rings, so I have a feeling I will like onion petals.
